T-Port’s Lighthouse Selections
In November of this year, we released the third edition of T-Port Lighthouse Selections. Guest curator’s Enrico Vannucci and Olha Raiter each composed a selection of their favourite films from the platform.
Lighthouse Launch at TSFM
Our Lighthouse Selections were officially launched at a Cocktail event T-Port for industry professionals held at the Talents and Short Film Market 2022.
Industry Activity 2022
We brought T-Port to more than 15 festivals and markets, taking part in industry events and panels, in person and online including Clermont-Ferrand, Palm Springs, Berlinale, Locarno, Cannes, Dresden, Trieste, the Baltic Pitching Forum, Kurzfilmtag Winterthur, Interfilm, Black Nights PÖFF, and TSFM.
In addition we enjoyed working in partnerships with these festivals in promoting their student and short film selections online: Sarajevo, Festival du Nouveau Cinema and the Future Frames of the EFP at Karlovy Vary.
T-Port talents at the festival circuit
7 T-Port films were selected for Cannes Film Festival – one of which brought home the Queer Palm. 2 T-Port Films were also shortlisted for the Oscars, we had a Student Academy Award winner (and 4 nominees), a Student BAFTA winner, 2 films at TIFF, 2 films at Berlinale, and many more of our filmmakers reached new achievements with their films.
New Opportunities for our filmmakers
Thanks to our collaboration and partnerships with key international institutions, we were delighted to provide our filmmakers with more opportunities to reach new audiences, both in-person and online.
PÖFF Script Pool
In November we began a new partnership with the Script Pool Programme of Talinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) The programme took place within the festival’s Discovery Campus and focused on five emerging scriptwriter-directors in the late development phase of their first feature films.
T-Port Talent Spotlight
We were proud to bring you a wide selection of interviews with T-Port Filmmakers and partners throughout 2022, representing different filmmaking styles, processes, and backgrounds.
In total we brought you 21 interviews with creatives from 12 different nationalities. You can catch up with them on our blog.
