Curator Statement / Maike Mia Höhne

Documentaries are mirrors held towards certain aspects of our present. Our present – a kaleidoscope of realities. Ranging from very personal experiences to socio political realities that first of all has to be faced as what they resemble. The filmmakers work with all different filmic approaches and nurture our understanding of the other. The past as part of the presence. The mighty future as a space to embrace.

Their films for a shared present.
