Katharina Bintz grew up in Luxembourg. She studied acting at Schauspielstudio Frese and film at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Hamburg. She lives and works as an actress, filmmaker and writer in Germany and Luxembourg. She has appeared as a guest actress at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Grand Théâtre Luxembourg, Staatstheater Mainz and Theater Esch, among others. In 2022, her Luxembourgish story Valley Girl was published by Kremart, in which a young actress reports on the power relations on and behind the stage.

Her first short film Mauerrufe was shortlisted for the Max Ophüls Prize in 2019. It was shown at the LuxFilmFest and the Hamburg Short Film Festival, among others, and was nominated for Best Newcomer Documentary at the Kassel Dokfest.
