Jacob is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer and musician. In 2004 he was in Sri Lanka when the tsunami hit, lucky to survive. He documented everything that was unfolding, rapidly developing a relationship with the lens. He hasn’t stopped since.
Amidst a time of such angst felt by the world, A Wall was written and filmed following some personal experiences around loss, confusion and eventually, hope. And whilst it is a film that responds to these times, I hope that its existential and philosophical reflections stretch beyond the here and now, representing more widely to what it means to be human.
