Curator Statement / Kasia Karwan

I’m so excited to share my selection of 15 remarkable short films for this project. Thanks so much for inviting me to be part of it—it’s been an inspiring experience.

These 15 films are pure bursts of talent, each one completely unique and brimming with creativity. They’re raw, imaginative, and full of energy, showcasing voices that are bold and unapologetically original. What makes this selection even more special is its diversity. You’ll find animation, documentary, shorter and longer formats, stunning black-and-white pieces, and vibrant films in color. These works come from a variety of origins, each offering a distinct perspective and enriching the mix.

What’s most exciting is how limitless talent feels at this stage—unrestrained and fearless in its exploration. I hope these films captivate you as much as they did me. They’re a true celebration of storytelling in its most dynamic and daring form.
