Works on

the camera as an organ extension. An optical prosthesis: Haptics and tactility shifted to the visible. I capture moments from my reality on film, conserve them in order to experience them later in a condensed form. My works often show spontaneous images that develop out of everyday situations with a clear focus on me and my immediate personal environment. My themes are Time, movement, space, material, body and interaction. I am myself a photographer, cinema- tographer, sound woman, director and - in the case of a self-portrait - also performer. The ca- mera is always present. As a shield with which I approach: to others, to myself. I remain attentive, my curiosity conditions the recording process, the camera searches for the poetic in the everyday kife. The reflection, the actual work as a process, takes place only in the evaluation of the material and during the montage. I consciously work with the visualization and the comprehensibility of the cinematic Process itself: noticeable zooming, unstabilized pans and gears.
