Tamar Komem is a filmmaker and screenwriter with over 15 years of experience in film and television content creation. She holds two Master’s degrees from Tel Aviv University, one in Screenwriting (with honors) and another in Documentary Directing. Tamar wrote and directed the animated documentary series Life of the Dead for the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (Kan). An alumna of the 2012 Berlinale Talents Script Station, her scripts have participated in international development labs and earned various industry awards. Most recently, she took part in the 2025 Women’s Incubator of the New Fund for Cinema and Television (NFCT) with her documentary project in development, A Real Family. Tamar currently serves as an editor at Kan 11 News.
