Born in 1983. He lives and works as a independent filmmaker in Zurich, Switzer- land-. After an apprenticeship as a structural draughtsman he studied Design at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences Arts (ZHdK). In autumn 2006 he moved to Berlin to study filmdirecting at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb). As a student of Hartmut Bitomsky, Valeska Grisebach, Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, as well as Ulrich Seidl, he made a total of four shortfilms. His first feature length film “Schwarzer Panther” celebrated its world premiere in 2013 on the 31st Filmfest in Munich, the international premiere took place in 2014 at the 50th International Filmfestival in Chicago/USA and was nominated for the FIRST STEPS Awards 2013 and the STUDIO HAMBURG Young Talent Award 2014. He is a participant of BERLINALE TALENTS and ZFF Master Class 2014. He just finished his second feature film “8 days in August”
