Mika Hashin was born and raised in Hod HaSharon, a northern suburb of Tel Aviv. She graduated from the Thelma Yelin National high school of the arts where she majored in fine arts, and continued to study film at Tel Aviv University, where she produced her debut short film. She is currently a student working on her second short film.
