Maximilian Karakatsanis is a director and writer, born in 1994 in Düren. He completed professional training in montage and camera and worked as an actor at independent theaters before beginning studies in New German Literature at the University of Cologne in 2016. In 2018, he moved to the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, where he is majoring in directing and writing. His work ranges from fiction films and documentaries to radio plays and poetry. His films have screened at renowned festivals such as the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen or the International Film Festival Thessaloniki.
