Mariella Santibáñez is a German-Chilean filmmaker of fictional and documentary films, based in Berlin. Born and raised in Berlin and Manchester, she studied filmmaking at the University of Television and Film Munich and Universidad del Cine Buenos Aires.     During her studies at the University of Television and Film Munich, she produced several award-winning short films, like the documentary short film FIND FIX FINISH which was screened in festivals like San Sebastián, Melbourne and Vancouver, as well as at the MoMa in NYC. Overall her films were screened over 150 film festivals. While studying at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, Mariella created the short film TRAMITE, screened at international film festivals. Furthermore, Mariella produced the fictional short film REINA which was co-produced with the German-French television network ARTE, the Bavarian Broadcasting BR, funded by the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern. REINA was nominated for the Mexican Film Award ARIEL 2022.
