Kálmán Nagy was born and raised in 1992 in a small town in Hungary. Since 2012 he lives in Vienna where he began his studies at the Filmakademie Wien in 2016. He graduated in 2021 in the directing class of Michael Haneke. His short film “Olyan dolgok - Things like” was awarded and screened at many international film festivals. His latest short film "The Other End of the Street" celebrated its world premiere at the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival and won the FIRST STEPS Award 2022 in Germany. He is currently developing the script for his first feature film.
