Mirko Muhshoff and Kai Zwettler met during their time as graduate students in Media Arts at Bauhaus University. While working together on many short film projects, they soon found out that they shared the same sense of quirky humor, a fascination for exploring the boundaries of genre and formats and a similar background that influenced their storytelling. Both grew up in small towns somewhere in the German countryside and later went on to pursue academic and career endeavors in international cities ranging from Marseille and New York to Wuhan and Hong Kong. They wrote and directed “Oliver’s Pixie Hunt” in tandem as their thesis project and combined their unique skillsets to bring Oliver’s magical world to life.
