My work deals with identity, memory and the need to be seen. I am drawn to characters who feel out of place, or who carry a past they do not fully know how to express. Through different genres, I explore how people survive, hide, perform, and eventually find a way back to themselves.

Chen Sikunda is an Israeli director, screenwriter and producer based in Tel Aviv. She holds a B.F.A in Film and Television from Tel Aviv University’s Steve Tisch School of Film and Television, and is currently completing her M.F.A in television series writing. Sikunda was the first student selected for the Directors Guild of Israel’s directing internship program. Her short film ״Laugh On Command״, which she wrote and directed, was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2025 Israeli Film Awards ceremony. She has also worked as a script supervisor, 1st AD and producer in film and television.
