Yotam Ben-David was born in Israel in 1987. He studied at the Jerusalem High School for the Arts and later at the Minshar School of Arts in Tel Aviv, and graduated from both with honors. His short films were selected to festivals wold wide, among which "Remains" - his graduation film project, which he wrote and directed, and in which he played the leading role. "Remains" won Best Short Film Prize at the Jerusalem International Film Festival 2013, and Best Short Film Prize at the Mallorca International Film Festival. His latest medium length film "Thunder from the Sea" was selected to the FID Marseille 2018 and won the Meta Fundation Prize. He currently lives in Paris, where he is developing his first feature film "Over Time and Distance". The film, produced by the Paris-based company La Belle Affaire Productions, was selected to participate in the L'atelier Cinéfondation at Cannes film festival 2019.
