Director's statement: This story is partly autobiographical. While my wife had miscarriages, I found myself with an open wound, but unable to share my experience, because “I must stay strong for my wife”. In despair, I found myself looking into my past, trying to understand what I had done wrong and feeling ashamed. Going down that rabbit hole, I learned that there is healing through recognizing and confronting my mistakes. The artistic vision is to take us on a journey with the protagonist, as if we are with him, using a documentary style of filming, handheld and long shots, making it an intensive experience as if we’re on a rollercoaster. I feel the story was told as it was planned, with minor tweaks. In creating this film, I learned how much I grew as a human being and a filmmaker. I am left with the feeling that I have done good. I hope that the portrayal of my experience in this film will support others in similar situations.
