Florian Paul, born in 1995, studied composition for film and media in the class of Prof. Gerd Baumann at the University of Music and Theater in Munich from 2015 to 2021. While still a student, he worked on numerous short and feature film productions, including the feature film „Unheimlich perfekte Freunde“ by Marcus H. Rosenmüller (ViaFilm) and the short film Summer Hit, which received an award in Palms Springs. In addition to composing the film music, he was also directly involved in the shooting as an actor or musical coach. Last year he was the Music Supervisor for the TV series "Ausgebremst 2.0" (Popular Pictures/ Atalante Film). In addition to his work as a film composer, he is known for his band "Florian Paul & Die Kapelle der letzten Hoffnung“, with which he released his debut album in 2019. In cooperation with the young Munich production company BARDAMU FILM he produced elaborate music videos for many of his songs, most of which he himself directed. Last year he also composed the score and songs for the documentary film "Sorry Comrade" (Nordpolaris/ BR), which premiered at the 72nd Berlinale in February. In 2022 his second studio album was released: built on Sand. A thirty-minute music film was made for this album in spring 2022, for which he also worked as a director and screenwriter for the first time. The project was funded by the FilmFernsehFonds-Bayern and is cast with Elisa Schlott, Oliver Stokowski and Paul Lux.
