ELISA ADELAIDE FACCIONI was born in Verona in 1998. She is a screenwriter, director, and producer. In 2017, she moved to Rome, where she graduated with honors in Cinema from the Rome University of Fine Arts. She has written and directed five short films that have been selected and awarded at Italian festivals. Her education and experience on film sets have helped her develop a distinctive and instinctive gaze focused on human relationships — a recurring theme she often explores through the complexity of characters in the process of self-discovery, searching for their own identity. With The Imperfect Shape of Memories, a short film supported by the regional fund Lazio Crea and sponsored by the Italian Alzheimer’s Federation, the director delves into the mother–daughter relationship, dissecting a bond through time and its many forms: a past that is fading, a present that is changing, and an inevitable fear of the future to come.
