FAQ
Do I need to have a finished film to attend?
No, the workshop is designed to help at both the post-production and planning stages. If you are a filmmaker with a film on T-Port, however, the cost of the workshop is reduced for you.
Is this useful for documentary and fiction shorts alike?
Absolutely. The tools and strategies apply to all short film genres.
I’m a producer – would it be worthwhile to attend this workshop?
For now the information is more suited to filmmakers, rather than producers, but if you drop us a line to let us know you’re interested, we could look to hold a specialised online workshop for producers in the future.
Will there be a chance to share more information about my project during the workshop?
Yes, and in order to keep the workshop at a manageable size we are capping attendance at 15 people.
What is this T-Port you speak of?
T-Port is a non-profit online platform aimed at promoting films by emerging talent and to facilitate the distribution and circulation of short films within the professional film industry. The platform currently showcases more than 1800 short films made by independent filmmakers and students, including award-winning films and top festival selections. As an industry tool, T-Port is restricted for professional use – i.e. festival programmers, TV buyers, VOD services, sales agents and distributors that are scouting for short films and talent, as well as producers, talent agencies and young talent promotion bodies, who are searching for their next discovery.
