At its core my artistic practise is anchored around an exlporation on human perception. Often times my films are interested in exploring different ways of seeing the structures that fundamentally shape the modern world. I am interested in technological image production, surveillance industries and the impact of operative images on todays society.

Stefan Kruse is a research-based filmmaker and visual artist from Denmark working with ethical and philosophical questions related to technical image production. His work investigates human perception, mass media image circulation, surveillance technologies and ties to the military industrial complex. Working with a conceptual approach to narrative storytelling, his films examine different ways of seeing and experiencing the antics and bureaucratic nature of the modern world. Concerned with seemingly invisible industrial- and political structures, Stefan proposes an alternative space for critical reflection. His work has been presented at major film festivals among other Festival dei Popoli, Courtisane and Visions du Réel.
