German Films and the German Short Film Association – AG Kurzfilm present the German short films eligible for the short film categories at the Academy Awards®. These animated, documentary and live action short films qualified to submit since October 1 of the previous year through winning a qualifying award at a film festival, a German Short Film Award, a Student Academy Award®, or through a theatrical run.
