I am drawn to stories that reveal the strength found within vulnerability. Through intimate, character-driven filmmaking, I explore themes of trauma, identity, and resilience, often focusing on women whose voices and experiences remain unseen. By blending emotional realism with an immersive cinematic language, I seek to create space for empathy, encourage reflection, and remind audiences that even in our darkest moments, we are never truly alone.

Shani Hadad, 30, is a filmmaker, director, screenwriter, and producer. She graduated from the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University, where she specialized in the production track. She previously studied theater at Ironi Alef High School for Sciences and Arts. In her youth, Shani was a counselor in the Yuval Tribe of the Israeli Scouts and was selected to join the Young Ambassadors delegation, traveling to the United States at the age of 16 to give presentations about Israel in American schools. Following her military service, she worked as a cook before traveling through the East. Today, Shani writes, directs, and produces films and television projects. During her studies, she wrote, directed, and produced her own short films while also producing films for fellow students. Rottweiler is her second short film supported by Tel Aviv University.
