Erik Jasaň is a Slovak filmmaker whose work focuses on dramatic and sensitive social themes. His debut short film The Professional Parent qualified for the Academy Awards. He won the award for Best International Film at the New York Shorts International Film Festival. His work has been featured in the official programs of Oscar-qualifying festivals such as Balinale, Tirana, Odense, St Kilda, HollyShorts, Thomas Edison FF, Out On Film Atlanta, Alexandria, Huesca, Bengaluru and Lebu.
