Max (born Mathilde) Bédrune is a French filmmaker and student based in Brussels. They studied in Ciné-Sup in France and the INSAS film school in Belgium. Their work plays with both documentary processes and fiction. They explore themes of belonging, intergenerationality and transmission, in docu-fiction as well as comedy. Inspired by their childhood moving experiences and their family origins, they create multilingual films with a tender-and-absurd humourous twist.
