I like humans. The cinema for me is a safe zone, a place where I feel comfortable to attach my emotion, to laugh, to cry and mostly to feel something that moves me, that what makes us humans and the more we feel the closer we get to our humanity. In my work I put us, the simple humans that feel in the centre.

Jonathan Handelsman was born in Kibbutz Nir-Am, Israel, in 1995. In 2010, Jonathan started to learn cinema in high school, and his movie "Their Secret, My Story" took second place in the "Young Creation" festival in Israel. Jonathan served in the IDF between 2013 and 2016. In 2018, Jonathan completed his cinema studies at "Sapir College.
