We are exploring our protagonists' journey through transgenerational trauma of domestic violence. While they have understood what they don't want to repeat from the former generation it is still hard to let go and break free.

Thi Mai Trang Vo is a vietnamese-german director based in Berlin. She studied 2014-2018 Liberal Arts and Sciences in Lüneburg focusing on topics of structural power structures and intersectional feminist philosophy. In 2019 she started studying documentary film and television journalism at HFF Munich. Her work focuses on the inbetween of reality, fiction, dreams, trauma and utopia while exploring hybrid forms. NIÑA BUENA is her third documentary at HFF Munich. Sophie Lahusen is a german-french director and cinematographer currently based in Mexiko City. After school, she studied art history in Hamburg and Rome. She gained professional journalistic experience in Brazil and France at ARTE, taz and ARD, among others. She has been studying documentary film at the HFF Munich since 2020 beside her social work in a hospice Her works focusses on feminist and transgenerational topics expanding the possibility of documentaries.
