Bio: Tanja Hurrle was born in 1998 in the south of Germany. She directed her first short film at the age of eight. In high school she successfully began presenting her films at youth film festivals and won numerous awards. Since 2017 she is studying Motion Pictures at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt. Her main focus is on writing and directing as well as the work with children and young people. Tanjas first student short film „A Fish in a Punch Bowl“ won the German Youth Film Award 2019 and was shown at international film festivals, including the Brest European Short Film Festival, FEST - New Directors/New Films Festival and the Bogotá Short Film Festival. „The Purple Child“ is her latest short film and was made as part of the fifth semester of her film studies. The film premiered at the LUCAS Filmfestival, Germany’s oldest film festival for a young audience.
