Shiri is a writer and director based in Tel Aviv. She graduated from the Film Department at Tel Aviv University, where she completed her studies with a documentary set at the Dead Sea. Everybody Can is her third short fiction film and part of a feature project she is currently developing. She is also working on a documentary feature inspired by her experience teaching cinema in South Tel Aviv. Her work often explores themes of identity, national trauma, fading love, and the fragile boundaries between reality and imagination. .
In the early 2000s, an 11-year-old girl with a faint mustache meets the perfect blonde television star in her bedroom. As terror attacks spread through the streets, she escapes into a shimmering dreamscape, longing to become the image she admires. (roughcut version available upon request)
