Reinis Kalvins Today working as a director and producer, over the last decade he has lived in different off-beat places from a small town in West Virginia to Sarajevo in the Balkans. In latter, he studied filmmaking under the mentorship of Bela Tarr (MA program at Film Factory Sarajevo). His debut feature film The Shift was released in 2020 and won him the Latvian National Film Prize for the Best Debut. He is alumni of Torino Film Lab and Locarno Match Me program.
