Bio: Nuria Zantman was born in 1994 and grew up in a rural area in the Netherlands. She moved out to study acting and later on transferred to a university where she studied Cultural Studies. She worked as a dramaturge and is an activist. In her work, she seeks to capture the world around her in a way that goes deeper than facts and than what we see at first glance. She has a mental disability, she feels that this allows her to see a deeper layer of life. It helps her connect with people and understand where they are coming from. She is interested in gender, activism, religion, and the Middle-East. Rebellious Silence is her first movie.
