Born and raised on La Réunion, Nina Kormann now works as a freelance author in the field of documentary film in Karlsruhe. She studied film and media studies in Lyon, Weimar and Utrecht, where she focussed her research on female and nature representations in Western film productions. In 2024, she completed her directing studies at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg with her graduation film ‘L'île jardin’. She likes to picture the relationships between people and their environment - in portraits or essays.
