I met Liron in my first year of Cinematography study and was fascinated by her world view. She painted a magical and optimistic picture where big surprises wait around every corner. In our era, where not one week passes without hearing about tragic cases of domestic violence on the news, I tried to understand how Liron had became part of this statistic.

Bio: Nahar Cohen completed his final year of full-time study in producing and directing at the Ma’aleh Film School in 2023. “Labor Pains” is his graduating documentary. Family , women and relationships are the main themes of his work. Nahar lives in Kibbutz Ma'agan Michael together with his partner and baby son.
