Bio: Mikhail was born in 1980 in Tver. In 2003 he graduated from the Faculty of Letters of the Russian State University for Humanities. In 2006 he graduated from the Higher Courses of Screenwriters and Directors at the Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). Mikhail Mestetskiy is the author and director of several short movies that were awarded at the Shanghai International Film Festival, Iraq Short Film Festival, Lago Film Festival («Insignificant Details Of An Accidental Episode» - Grand Prix) and Kinotavr Russian National Film Festival («Legs Are Atavism» – Best Short). His full-length feature film «Rag Union» premiered at the Berlinale in 2016.
