After MA studies in child clinical psychology, Maya turned to Film studies at Minshar School of Art in Tel Aviv (2009-2013). Her documentary thesis film, “The Self Deception Artist” (2014) aired on YES Docu, was screened in commercial screenings, and participated in Docaviv Documentary festival. Maya has produced a few critically acclaimed short films, directed music videos for Israeli artists, and was head of production and a teacher (production, documentary, screenwriting) at Minshar School of Art. She was script developer and script producer for the HBO series “Our Boys” (2019), Menagen VeShar (Yes, 2021), and East Side (Kan, 2023). Her short film “Crumbs” was released in 2019. Worked as development manager in the drama department of Abot Hameiri (owned by Fremantle). These days she is in advanced development of the series “My First Family” (created by Maya Zaydman, Ori Sivan, produced by Razor Films & Haut et Cur).
