Bio: Marieke Elzerman (1996) was born in Amsterdam and obtained both her bachelor and master degree in filmmaking at the KASK Royal School of Arts in Ghent. In January 2018 her bachelor project ‘Marieme, Marieke’ (2018) premiered at Galerie Van Gelder in Amsterdam. In May 2018 she was selected for the workshop ‘Filming in Peru’ with Werner Herzog. During her studies she did an internship in Lisbon with the Portuguese director Salomé Lamas. Her graduation film ‘Come here’ (2020) won the Best Fiction Award at IndieLisboa, received a special mention at the Krakow Film Festival and won the jury award for best acting performance at the Leuven International Short Film Festival. In December 2021 she graduated from the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola with her film 'Los Caminos de Natu', which will come out in 2022.
