Marie-Magdalena Kochová is a Czech director based in Prague. She graduated from New Media in Pilsen and Documentary Film at FAMU in Prague. She directed several short films that were screened at many international festivals. Her short hybrid film Shells (2022) premiered at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, won several awards, and was selected to The Hottest Shorts of Hot Docs IDF 2024. Her latest short fiction film 3 MWh (2024) premiered at International Film Festival Rotterdam 2024 in the Tiger Short Competition. Her first documentary feature film The Other One (2024), awarded with the Special Mention Silver Eye Award will premiere at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival 2024.
