The central theme of the film is "truth" and its value in comparison to "lies" or "embellished truths." In an era overflowing with information streams and fake news, this theme is more relevant than ever. Through Blin Fiducie, Luka seeks to explore and question these concepts, using light absurdity to probe the boundaries between truth and falsehood.

Luka Kluskens (Maastricht, 1998) graduated in 2021 as an actress from the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since then, she has worked as an actress both nationally and internationally. In addition to her acting career, Luka is active as a filmmaker and screenwriter. In 2021, she wrote and directed her first short film, Als een schaduw bleef je mij bewaard (The Great Appeal of the Cherry Blossom, 9 min). With this project, she won the Best Film Pitch Award at the Euregion Short Film Festival 2021 and was selected for Screen Talent Europe at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad 2021. The film was later showcased at events such as De Avond van de Limburgse Korte Film and became a semi-finalist at the New York Indie Shorts Awards in 2022. Most recently, in October 2023, Luka completed her second short film, Blin Fiducie (Blind Trust, 14 min), created as part of the development program Het Beloofde Land. This initiative was supported by Screen Talent NL, the Netherlands Film Fund, and CineSud. The film had its pre-premiere on November 16, 2023, at the Northern Film Festival in Leeuwarden and is now entering the festival circuit, awaiting its official premiere. Currently, Luka is collaborating with director Floris Ramaekers on the development of a feature film in partnership with Pupkin Film (NL). For this project, she is contributing as both a screenwriter and actress.
