Luka Galešić (1991, Zadar, Croatia) is a Croatian film director and screenwriter. He studied Journalism at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb, before continuing his education in Dramaturgy and later Film and Television Directing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he earned an MA in Feature Film Directing in 2023. During his dramaturgy studies he received the Rector's Award for the regional project Pravda. He co-wrote the screenplay for Lada Kamenski, directed by Sara Hribar and Marko Šantić, which won the Golden Arena for Best Screenplay at the Pula Film Festival. For nearly a decade, Galešić has worked extensively as an assistant director on Croatian and international feature films and television series, including God Won't Help, Small Things, A story about Paulina P, Only When I Laugh, The Head of the Big Fish, Staffroom, Momo, and Mayday. His short films have premiered at festivals including the Trieste International Film Festival, Festival of Mediterranean Film Split (FMFS), Zagreb Film Festival (Kockice), and the Pula Film Festival. He is currently developing his debut feature film, Viktorija, which has been supported through HAVC's script and project development programs and selected for TorinoFilmLab Next, the Belgrade March Debut Workshop, Moj prvi scenarij at the Zagreb Film Festival, Split Script with Răzvan Rădulescu, and the Valencia Film Afers Mediterranean Co-production Forum. Since 2026, he has led the Screenwriting Lab at KinoKlub Zagreb.
