Lucila Mariani is a filmmaker based (and from) Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her first short film, “Wekwaindu” (2018) was selected at BFI’s Future Film Festival 2018. “Resonancias” (Echoes, 2019), her second short film, had its premiere at International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and was selected at New Directors/New Films (organized by MoMA and Film Society of Lincoln Center) and in BAFICI. Her latest short film, “Luna que se quiebra sobre la tiniebla de mi soledad” (Moon that cracks over the darkness of my loneliness, 2022) premiered at 75th Locarno Film Festival in the International Competition - Pardi di Domani. She’s developing her first feature film “Los días libres” which already participated in the Concurso Federal Raymundo Gleyzer (2021), organized by INCAA (Argentinean Film Institute) and Punto Género - Working Sessions, organized by Ventana Sur.
