Katarina Gramatova began her film career working as a film editor. She graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava as an editor in 2023. During her studies, she also worked on her own authorial films. Her directorial debut, a short film titled "Cherries," won a Special Jury Prize at the Zlin Film Festival. She is currently finishing her debut feature film “Promise, I’ll Be Fine,” which is a Slovak-Czech co-production funded by both countries' national film funds. Katarína uses her editing skills in her storytelling. She strives to tell socially challenging stories in a playful manner, infusing them with her unique sense of humor.
