JULIUS DOMMER was born in 1988 in Ratzeburg. Since 2009 he has worked as a gaffer and lighting designer for several film productions. From 2012-2018 he studied at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM). In 2015/16 he spent an exchange year at the International School of Film and Television in Cuba (EICTV). His documentary shorts BERTA (2017) and REBAR (2017) screened and received awards at numerous festivals. ASCONA (2019) is his graduation film.
