Jingyuan Luo is a transmedia artist currently studying at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Luo's work uses individual, intimate snapshots to question how society functions in times of crisis. Her short film Chrysanthemum (2025) won the NRW Competition Award at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, and third prize in the German Competition at KFFK Kurzfilmfestival Köln. And her film essay The Yellow Ghost (2022) was shown at the 19th Animateka International Animated Film Festival (Ljubljana) and the 33rd Onion City Experimental Film Festival (Chicago).
