Bio: Immanuel Esser studied philosophy in Berlin before turning to film. Focusing on thought experiments, political philosophy and aesthetics, he wrote his thesis on stylized worlds and their benefit for insight and enlightenment. He now studies directing and media art at the University of Media Arts Cologne. His first feature film PARADISE (2020) was screened in competition at the Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis.
