Ieva Šakalytė born in Vilnius, Lithuania. She gained a bachelor and master degree in Film Directing from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She is an alumna of various workshops, labs and talents programmes such as Aristoteles Workshop 2019, East West Talent Lab 2021, Berlinale Talents 2024 etc. Her short fiction films "Lady, Van and The Free Man" (2020), "Becoming Animal" (2021), “SPA” (2024) traveled to various international film festivals. Now working as a freelance director or assistant director on various TV projects. Also, developing her first feature film project.
