I like exploring themes of identity, belonging, and cultural duality, often shaped by migration and family history. ’m interested in intimate character-driven stories that balance subtle humor with deeper emotional tension, telling personal stories in a way that can feel universal. Through film, I try to understand how personal and inherited histories shape who we are.

Hae-Sup Sin (born 1991) is a Swiss-Korean director from Zurich, Switzerland. In 2015, he began his studies at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), which he completed in 2019 with a bachelor‘s degree in 2019, followed by a master‘s degree in feature film directing in 2025. His passion is cross-cultural stories set in diasporic communities. In 2026, he was selected to represent Switzerland in the EFP Future Frames programme at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and won the Audience Award at the Palm Springs International ShortFest. He is currently writing his first feature film "Some Korean Summer".
