In all my films, I try to shine a spotlight on characters who are rarely seen with compassion, those it’s not immediately obvious to empathize with. I take such characters, often very ordinary, placed in marginal situations and reveal their pain, however absurd it may be. The presence of multiple characters is a recurring motif in my work, with a consistent focus on carefully developing each individual and using their distinct personalities and colors within the visual space of the frame.
