Florian Schmitz, born in 1992 in Mönchengladbach, is a director and screenwriter living in Cologne, Germany. His improvised narrative feature film „Poor Knights“ had its premiere at the Hof International Film Festival in 2018. Since 2018 he has been a postgraduate student at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. At the moment he is working on „Raumteiler“, his second feature film, that deals with the housing situation in cities and also with resignation.
