EUGENIA BAKURIN is a media artist, filmmaker and lecturer in Kiel. She was born in 1987 in Tselinograd (USSR, today: Astana, Kazakhstan) and belongs to the minority of Germans from Russia. She has been living and working in Germany since 2002. After graduating in Art Education and Civic Education at Kiel University in 2017, she studied Time-Based Media at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design. In 2020, she received the BBK Schleswig-Holstein’s promotion award. Her works are presented regularly at exhibitions and film festivals.
