Working on the film emotionally transported me back to my military service. Suddenly I was again a 19-year-old recruit trying to impress my commander. I found myself excited by the camaraderie of the soldiers, the internal jokes, and saddened by the fragile misery that can exist in such a place. I finish this film more Israeli, more sensitive, and more curious.

Dovi currently is in his third year of study at Maaleh Film School. As part of his studies, he serves as a facilitator in group video therapy sessions. Additionally, Dovi is a producer in the Jerusalem Filmmakers Forum, and teaches a course in documentary filmmaking in the Mekor Chaim Yeshiva high school, of which he is an alum.
