In September 2024, Ben shot his second short documentary “Survival: A Song”. It follows Wassim Mukdad on a performative walk though his memories, recalling how music helped him survive torture and imprisonment in Syria. The project is currently in post-production and was funded by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW . Currently, he is working on his first feature film project “Sijniyya: The Clandestine Music of Sednaya”. The project is also supported by Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. It reconstructs how former political prisoners created a clandestine music scene in the country's most notorious torture prison.
